“I did not begin this work by seeking out the poor. I followed Jesus and that led me to the poor.”
George Snyman is the founder of Hands at Work in Africa, a ministry Commons has been partnered with for many years. George has been battling on the front lines of the African AIDS and orphan crisis for the last two decades. What started as a few people caring for the sick and dying in one community has developed and replicated in over 60 communities across sub Saharan Africa.
Through a community-based model of sacrificial love and basic care, the church across Africa is transforming lives of the most vulnerable -- child-headed households, grandmother-led families -- who have no defense and no one on their side.
Come hear George share reflections on who this Jesus is, his heart for the vulnerable, and God's invitation to participate in this redeeming work.
