We want to thank the community for your participation in the AGM. We also want to congratulate Justin du Plessix on his election to a second term, and welcome Thioni Schafer and Jessy Roos to their first terms on the board. Finally a huge thank you to all those who allowed their names to stand for election and to those who have served faithfully in the pervious term. A community with such capable leaders willing to serve is truly blessed.
The minutes from the meeting have been posted below.
Along with a new year comes a little housekeeping because the new year begins a new cycle in our governance as a community. We have an incredible board that is elected by the members of the community to represent and guide us but part of the new year is preparing for our annual general meeting which has been scheduled for Wednesday March 8th.
When we gather that evening we will present the financial reports and the budget for the coming year and we will also be electing some new people to represent us on the board.
The AGM is open to anyone from the community, all are welcome to come and participate in the discussions. However, voting on decisions and leadership is reserved for members.
If you’re not a member and would like to be, we have two membership classes coming up before the AGM. They happen on the last Sunday of every month and you can sign up for a class online.
BOARD NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
This year's board nominees have been posted below. Thank you to everyone who nominated someone from the community and to all those who considered and allowed their names to stand for election.
This is something that members need to do every year and is part of how we ensure our membership roll is kept up to date annually. If you are a member then all you need to do is sign beside your name on the membership list, which will be on the connection centre desk every Sunday until the AGM, or simply fill out this handy form.
We will post the relevant documents here for review before the meeting.
