  • Intro & Bible Story— Bible Story Leader — 5 minutes

    • Today we are going to be learning about a time when a woman poured her very special, very expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet to wash it. Can you imagine that? Why do you guys think she would do that?

    • Well, let’s watch our video to find out more about the story…

  • Video Lesson — 5 minutes

  • Follow Up Discussion — Bible Story Leader — 5 minutes

    • Does anyone remember from the story where Jesus was when the woman came and poured perfume on his feet? (he was at someone’s house for a party)

    • And do you remember if the woman was a very popular person that everyone liked or not?

    • Why do you think that people didn’t like that woman very much? (maybe because they heard other people saying bad things about her) Do you think that was fair for them to think badly about her?

    • Do you remember what Jesus said about her when the others were whispering and saying mean things? (he said good things about her and said that he forgives her for all the mistakes she’s made)

    • Can you think of some ways that we can be like Jesus when we hear people saying mean things about someone?

  • Prayer — Bible Story Leader — 1 minute

    • “Dear God, thank you for the story we learned today about the woman who loved Jesus so much that she poured her special perfume on his feet. Thank you that Jesus healed her heart by reminding her that God loves and forgives her for all her mistakes. Thank you that you can also heal our hearts when they’re feeling sad or hurt. Please help us to be like Jesus to our friends by showing them kindness, and forgiving them when they make mistakes, just like you always forgive us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  • Craft: Perfume Bottles — Activity Leader — 7 minutes
