Visual artist community.
God invites us to create.
Art has the ability to inspire, enlighten and feed us. Visual art has always found its way into the Church, from stained glass to sculptures and paintings. Behind this creativity has always been visual artists. At the heart of a visual artist is God’s invitation to create.
Our hope is to support, care, and build community with the visual artists of Commons.
The community is open to all visual artists within Commons, whether they are professional or pursuing it as an interest. This includes practitioners of architecture, ceramics, illustration, filmmaking, stained glass, painting, photography, sculpting, and all other forms of visual art.
Community gatherings.
Join us for our community gatherings where we share a meal, learn, and support one another. Artists are encouraged to bring their work to share!
Studio nights.
At Studio Nights, bring your current project and your creative heart. We'll supply the supportive space and a vibrant community of artists working alongside you. If your work can’t travel, feel free to bring a sketch book, working ideas or simply join us in conversation.
Art installations.
To creatively encourage and inspire the Commons community, we open applications at various times of the liturgical year for visual artists to share and display their art.
