Before Abraham ever receives God’s great promise, he finds himself stuck in an in-between place—grieving loss, waiting, and unsure of what comes next. These seasons of pause can feel insignificant or frustrating, but they are often where God is doing some of the most important work in us.

Drawing from Abraham’s time in Haran and a personal story of vocational uncertainty, this message reminds us that waiting is not wasted. Whether we wait passively or choose to wait actively, God is already at work beneath the surface, forming us into people who are ready for the next chapter when the call finally comes.
