Or The Miracle Beneath the Miracle

“The Spirit told Philip, ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it.’” (Acts 8:29).

There’s this reasonably famous encounter between a disciple named Philip and an Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts chapter 8. And often, the story gets celebrated for the miraculous nature of their encounter. Spirit-led evangelism and all that.

I think the story is actually much better. But it does take a bit of work to get there.

Let’s start with Philip. What do we know about this guy?
